My poetic objects present a way of looking at the world, which depicts the literal forms of natural imagery. These forms are then shaped into a narrative form disclosing the artistry of the piece and its polished language. Metaphorical frameworks transform these objects from natural objects to cultural objects. Metaphor deliberately slows perception so that the viewer can re frame and re experience language and the narrative. It opens various elements of the narrative to the brink so that we can never think of them in the same way again. This in turn helps the individual enter new realms of self-reflection.
